One of the best things about writing is that you can focus on one thing at a time and make it your own, and I feel like that’s been a major asset for me in this day and age. My main role over these past years has been to write articles, so maybe there’s some other writers out there who are wondering what they should be putting their energy into right now.

Here are five things to keep in mind asyou’re trying to figure out what to do next. You never know where or how something will change your life for good. And if it does, then by all means keep going because it’s the most fulfilling part. As an aside, let’s also take a moment to mention that the pandemic made writing even more important than ever before, which is why we’ve created an article called “5 Ways You Can Become More Creative With Your Words” that was originally published in March 2020. Before then, we had three simple pieces that focused on taking creative expression to another level.
The original piece had 100+ unique and relevant ways to express yourself creatively while doing so without being self-conscious or limiting yourself. It also helped us realize that you don’t have to be writing fiction or non-fiction articles to become better at it. This included using humor in both forms and seeing some positive action from others, such as sending messages to people through social media. By incorporating the use of creativity in my daily life, I am constantly evolving a lot in my abilities as a writer, which includes improving personal communication skills as well. But here’s what else you need to know about writing articles in order to improve your ability to do it quickly, consistently, and effectively. They might not seem like big things until you start to understand them at face value, but they do actually matter. Below are 5 key points that will help you create better and more effective content for your site.
1) Figure Out What Type Of Content Is Right For You
As always when it comes to learning different types of writing, make sure you take advantage of resources provided in our resource library for free. A quick search for articles about writing for inspiration will provide many ideas to get inspired, including some that offer tips and advice for becoming more comfortable with expressing yourself creatively through words on your blog. In fact, you may already have some of those articles on your website! If you are reading this article somewhere you already have the information, there should be no reason to reinvent the wheel. When I started blogging, my goal was to write articles. So, naturally, there were times when I would just write random thoughts about anything from gardening to psychology, and I did it. However, I did learn so much from those mistakes, the good news is that I realized how important it was to find a niche and focus on my strengths. Therefore I moved on to creating more educational blog posts and writing books based around my experience instead of focusing on getting followers or likes. There are a number of advantages that come with making your content focused on a specific topic or experience that only you can talk about because there’s something special about it. So, let’s dive deeper into the benefits…
2) Keep An Eye On Competition
For any type of online entrepreneur, competition is natural and it’s something that almost every person on earth needs to embrace. That’s why it’s very easy to fall away from a business due to lack of growth. One way you can avoid losing money due to competitors is doing market research. Research shows that 70% of entrepreneurs fail within months of starting out, and 90% will only continue earning money for several years before eventually quitting their venture once they hit financial trouble. While some may not have immediate cash flow issues, it is essential to stay informed about what other companies are doing and offering. After researching multiple businesses, you may see that some operate a little differently than you prefer doing business. Maybe you’re looking at new software or tools that can solve problems that you were previously solving at home, but your current system still works fine. Find out whether what you want to buy costs less or more than what others are selling online, then decide which type of company fits your budget and wants to invest in new systems that you haven’t considered before. You may want to consider buying products or services from smaller companies that are operating nationally or providing your products or services nationally. Remember that purchasing internationally doesn’t guarantee quality or consistency since you will likely have to contact the sellers directly after purchasing to find out if what they’re selling is really worth spending money for. Plus, if you decide to purchase items overseas, expect to pay extra taxes for shipping and/or import duties. All of those factors can affect the final price of your products or services, so take the time to research all of the pros and cons of each product or service before investing your money into it.
3) Don’t Be Afraid To Do Some Research Yourself
The last point involves asking yourself why you want to pursue professional development. Many people who choose to go down a career path often have a lot of questions about why they’re doing it and what they want to achieve in life. Take some time each week to ask yourself these types of questions and make sure you answer them honestly. Why do you want to write? What do you enjoy most about it? How might you improve upon existing products and services? What is something that you want to add to your list of passions? Once you have answered these questions, start to analyze each company or program in detail. Most importantly, don’t forget to look inside your head and ask yourself if the company or program aligns with your goals and interests. You only need to spend fifteen minutes researching a few options and start forming opinions that will help guide how you make decisions.
4) Have Fun While Doing Them
What do I mean by having fun when talking about finding success in your work? Well, you’re working hard on producing valuable content and getting to the end of each of your articles. Sometimes that produces feelings of stress, anxiety, insecurity, frustration, and a host of other negative emotions. Think about all the times you have read things about bloggers who post about their successes all over the web. Those articles are filled with tons of people complaining about how badly they managed to handle success in the beginning with those same articles. If you’re thinking about doing this type of work, remember that you should never complain about the state of your business. Instead, focus on finding ways to produce more content that helps readers succeed in their own lives as opposed to dwelling on the challenges that you encounter along the way. Additionally, don’t believe everything you hear about what people who share your opinion think about it. Everyone has their own opinion about virtually any topic, so don’t assume that everyone else agrees with your initial belief. Get some perspective from other individuals who’ve already done their research and have come to a similar conclusion. In addition, if there is something that you want to add to your story, or simply want to change things up slightly, write it and publish it. Give yourself permission to experiment with ways to get more traffic, engage more readers, or show off your amazing knowledge that you gained while studying the subject. People love to read articles that challenge themselves, and sometimes that’s exactly what needs to happen. At least I do!
5) Make Sure Your Work Gets Noticed
As part of growing as an author, it’s essential to put yourself out there. Share your stories on Facebook groups and Reddit threads to build awareness through word of mouth, and when you receive reviews, comment on them instead of immediately posting a link to your article. Also, when someone reads your article, give them a chance to leave a review to let them know that you appreciate their interest in the topic. Consider adding links to your article to your bio, social pages, and email signatures in your marketing materials to ensure maximum exposure and reach. By sharing your articles, you increase the visibility of your business, and hopefully those people who read your articles will also be able to recommend you to others.
Don’t worry about publishing all at once; you can do this step every month to build momentum and a sense of overall commitment to completing the task. Once you’ve gotten the hang of it and have proven that there are no major glitches, you could start to schedule your daily tasks. Just follow these steps…
Step 1: Write Down 3–5 Key Points Every Day On Paper. Set aside 10–15 minutes every weekday for this purpose, and before you start writing your next article, jot down the first 3–5 points that came to you.
Step 2: Prepare & Arrange A Space For These Notes. Try choosing a quiet spot with plenty of natural light and a comfy chair to write, relax, or create art projects that can remain untouched for a few hours. Even a short break in between will allow you a bit of privacy and fresh eyes.
Step 3: Create A Schedule To Stick To. Use the 30 Minutes Rule to set achievable deadlines for each activity or task, and stick to it. This might be as simple as finishing one article every two weeks if you have limited time and are dedicated to producing good quality content, otherwise you can make it weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or yearly depending on your goals.
Step 4: Practice Frequently. Now, if you have found the ideal time to do step 4, you’ve completed the process, but there is one more hurdle to overcome before finishing your articles. Setting up a routine for doing these activities will help you stay accountable and ensures that you will actually finish them on time. For example, if you can only write 3–5 articles in a day, write them as soon as possible after waking up after brushing your teeth and brushing your hair. Then get dressed, brush your teeth, eat breakfast, and write an article for 45 minutes. If you don’t have a
